It is up to the you to provide maps of all of the ground that you claim Basic Payment on. CXCS have dedicated software which allows us to accurately produce detailed Soil Risk Maps and Manure Risk Maps. All of these maps are included in our cross compliance service.

Soil Erosion and Run-Off Risk Maps

These maps display the following information:

  • Parcel number
  • Field size
  • Soil type
  • Shallow soils
  • Rocky surfaces
  • Ridge and furrow
  • Water courses
  • Ditches
  • Boreholes, wells and springs
  • Direction of slopes
  • Flood risk
  • Vulnerable receptors

Each field is labeled with their Soil Risk level.

Manure Management Risk Maps

These maps display the following information:

  • Parcel number
  • Field size
  • Shallow soils
  • Heavy soils
  • Water courses
  • Ditches
  • Boreholes, wells and springs
  • 10m no spread zones
  • 50m no spread zones
  • Direction of slopes
  • Land drains
  • Flood risk
  • Waterlogged ground

Each field is colour coded based on their Manure Risk level.

Temporary Field Heap Map

These maps display the following information:

  • Parcel number
  • Field size
  • Water courses
  • Ditches
  • Boreholes, wells and springs
  • Direction of slopes
  • Temporary field heap locations

Each Temporary Field Heap is labeled with the manure type and the duration that the manure is stored in that location.
